    Description

I am guessing this design is quite rare because I have searched everywhere online and can’t find a single one like this; the design is from a painting by Phillippe Lalys, a Quimper artist (it says LALYS on the front). It may be quite old; there is rust on the inside and bottom that I covered years ago with felt so that I could actually use it (to store wooden clothes pins and bag clips). Still usable for non-edible (due to rust) storage as I did, or just use this tin decoratively with the cute scene on top, and beautiful yellow flowers on all sides. The felt I added is still very clean since the box was only used to hold clean clips and clothespins. There are a couple of tiny dents in the top of the tin that you can only see if you tilt it in the light just right. Picture is a young man with wooden shoes and a basket on his back, holding a scythe. Tin is approximately 8” x 5” x 3”. In my smaller home (in retirement) I am forced to part with many collectibles, so check back as much more will be added. Thanks for looking!
