Presenting....a Fabulous Pair of Rare Antique Quimper CUPS & SAUCERS, hexagon-shaped, featuring the Breton woman and man.  The saucers measure approximately 5 3/8" in diameter; the cups approximately 5" across the top to the handle x 2 7/8" x 2 3/8" high.  They are hand-painted and glazed in traditional French Art Pottery colors, one set slightly a different hue from the other.  There are the usual old mould markings found in pottery, like pin dot holes and other mould anomalies, as well as variations in the glazing process, like glaze misses, spots of thick glaze, etc.  There is general overall wear of glaze nicks and chips to all pieces, nothing unusual, and typically found with antique Quimper art pottery, especially being 120+ years old.
