Old or Antique
French Faience Pottery Full Figural Toby Jug.
This jug has polychrome decoration, a pewter thumb lift, and is possibly from the Rouen region.
It dates to the early 20th century or earlier.
It is in overall fair used as-pictured, used estate condition with old repairs and overpaint. Repairs and over-paint noted to the handle, hand, belly, head, face, neck, and lid. Otherwise, there is some edge wear, fine and light glaze and surface scratches throughout, and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
The base is not marked.
